All programs at the Statesboro Bulloch County Library, 124 S. Main St. 

 

CREATIVE WRITING: 3 – 5 pm Thursday, November 2, 16.

A series of classes on writing creative nonfiction composition led by Betty Franklin.

Location: Children’s Activity Room

 

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE: 12—5, Friday, November 3.

The need for blood is great. Help out your fellow resident and give blood if you can.

Location: Community Room

 

52 WEEKS OF GIVING:   4 PM Friday, November 3, 10, 17

This program has a different theme each week, all centered around giving back to our community and making a difference in people’s lives.  Join any time!

FAMILY PROGRAM: DINOSAUR DAY! -  2pm Saturday, November 4 Fun for all ages—a visit from a special dinosaur, games, treats and books to take home!

HOW TO GET A JOB! - 6pm Tuesday, November 7 & 21

Searching for a job is easier if you know how. This month Employment Documentation on 11/7 & Strategic Job Search on 11/21 will help you find that great new job! A free ongoing series, instructed by Monique Dennis.

ANIME & MANGA CLUB (age 12 – 18) 5 PM Wednesday November 8 & 22 For teens and young adults interested in watching and discussing different anime series. Enjoy an activity, snacks and new episodes each week!

ADULT COOKING SERIES – 6 PM Monday, November 13 Renowned chef, Patrick White will give a live demonstration, tasting, and share some valuable cooking tips! On the menu: Holiday cooking!

GENEALOGY: FINDGRAVE.COM - 6pm Tuesday, November 14 Learn how to navigate the website, findagrave.com with Genealogy Coordinator, Lillian Wingate and find the records you are looking for.

FOL BOOK SALE - 9 am—6 pm Friday & Saturday, November 17 & 18 This is it! The blockbuster Friends of the Library Book Sale of the year, just in time for the holidays,  AND all profits benefit the Library!

KNITTING AND CROCHETING CLUB - 2 pm   Saturday, November 18

Bring your knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn! Share projects and get some new ideas! New members are always welcome!

GENEALOGY TALK: ANCESTRY.COM – 2 pm Monday, November 27 Genealogy Coordinator, Lillian Wingate demonstrates the ancestry.com website showing the differences between library &subscription versions.

DIY: Succulent Plants -   6pm Tuesday, November 28

Put together an arrangement of succulent plants to take home—or give to a friend!

JUST MOVE! KPOP DANCE-  5 PM Thursday, November 30 Learn new and assorted ways to get moving and stay motivated in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This month, Damali Bacchus will get us moving with KPOP—music and movement!

BRITISH GENEALOGY  -  6pm Thursday, November 30 Learn about the various websites and forums available to discover your British roots with Genealogy Coordinator, Lillian Wingate.
