HORSE THEFT — A Brinson Road woman told deputies she took in a horse from a woman who could not currently care for it, with the understanding that the horse be returned to the owner if the complainant could no longer care for it. The complainant said another woman took the horse without permission and will not return it to her or the legal owner. The case was referred to magistrate court
YOU CAN’T HIDE — An Olliff Hill Road man with a long criminal history regarding drug offenses was wanted for reportedly stealing power by hooking up a meter illegally. Deputies found him hiding on the floor. They also arrested a woman on obstruction charges.
UTTER CRUELTY — A South Main Street man was arrested after witnesses saw him pick a dog up, lift it to head level and slam it to the ground.
YOUR CAR IS NOT A SAFE — Leaving valuables inside can lead to loss. Someone broke into a car on Hwy. 67 and allegedly stole $250 cash, $20 change, a $100 gift card, two baseball gloves worth $200 each and a set of $300 sunglasses.
BET HE NEEDED CLEAN BRITCHES — A Burkhalter Road woman, hearing someone tamper with the window, stuck a shotgun through the blinds and yelled at the unseen offender. Deputies later found footprints under her window.
