Rousey faces tough challenge with Zingano

February 24, 2015

Ronda Rousey has become a huge name in MMA — and in the media in general. She’s undefeated and has defended her title many times with no one seeming to give her much trouble. Her next challenger, though, will be her hardest test to date. Cat Zingano was supposed to fight Rousey long ago, but due to personal issues and injuries the fight has been repeatedly pushed back.
Zingano will finally get her chance to try to prove to the world that she can take Rousey’s crown. Zingano is also undefeated with a 9-win streak. She focuses more on her stand-up than her ground game, which is mostly opposite to Rousey. Rousey tends to strike a little and then look for an opening to throw her opponent to the ground and have her way with them.
This will be an exciting match, and someone will come off of their winning streak when all is said and done. Do you think Rousey will retain her title?
Also on the card, Josh Koscheck returns from a long hiatus to take on Jake Ellenberger. With both fighters coming off of losing streaks, one hopes to turn it around with this next matchup. It will remain to be seen if Koscheck suffers from the infamous ring rust that plagues fighters who step out of the octagon for long periods of time, but either way it should make for an interesting match.
Also returning for the card is Raquel Pennington vs. Holly Holm, Tony Ferguson vs. Gleison Tibau and Mark Munoz vs. Roan Carneiro, along with a slew of other fighters trying to make a name for themselves. Don’t miss the fights on
