Nicholas Williams is a Georgia Southern University rising senior who is more than excited for his last year at GSU.
Williams is a health education and promotion major from Fairburn, Georgia, by way of Chicago, Illinois.
Williams says choosing to attend GSU was a no-brainer for him after his first visit.
“On my first visit I fell in love with the campus. I think it’s beautiful and I’ve enjoyed watching it grow,” Williams said.
Williams is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and says his main passion is making a change in primary health care delivery.
Williams says that he already has plans for a bright and successful future in his career.
“After gaining my graduate degree in public health, I want to explore the field of epidemiology. I’ve researched career paths within the USAF and other government agencies,” Williams said.
He says that if he could give any advice to incoming students, it would be to always have an open mind.
“I would advise freshmen to keep an open mind and to reserve all judgments of their peers,” Williams said. “GSU has a diverse student body and everyone has something that they can contribute to your growth as a person. Join organizations, play intramural sports and attend the many events around campus. Networking is both important for business and pleasure. Don’t box yourself in and always have fun.”
