Just floatin' through the summer...

July 10, 2018

I don’t know about you, but the cover of this month’s issue sure looks good. With the heat we’re experiencing right now, a dip in the river sounds absolutely wonderful.

In this month’s issue, we take you to the Ogeechee River, where you can lose yourself and all your cares. We’re also featuring some of the local church groups who are doing mission trips this summer. We know you’ll enjoy reading about what they’re doing and where they’re going.

And we also got our hands dirty with The Herb Lady. If you’re a regular at the Main Street Farmers Market, you know her, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy reading about the lady behind the herbs. She’s dedicated to not only helping you learn about using herbs, but to helping you grow your own, if you’re so inclined.

We’re featuring the summer camps at Georgia Southern in this issue. The camps are hands-on and educational, and are a great way to keep kids learning while having fun in the summer sun.

And we’d like to introduce you to a brand new column, Sarcastically Southern. Be sure to check out this diva’s advice that is “sweetly southern, bitterly sarcastic.” You can even write to her and get some words of wisdom for yourself.

So kick off your shoes and enjoy this issue with a very tall glass of something cool.
