LIBRARY  TOUR: GENEALOGY RESOURCES —6PM Thursday, July 5 and 2PM Monday, July 23 Come learn about all the resources the Statesboro Library's Genealogy Department has to offer. Join Statesboro Library’s Genealogy and Local History Coordinator, Lillian Wingate to learn about the numerous resources including books, family files, public histories, obituaries, databases, microfilm and more!

Location: Genealogy Area

 

KNITTING & CROCHETING CLUB - 10am Sat. July 7, 14, 21, 28 Bring your knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn! Share projects and get new ideas! Every Saturday morning! New members welcome!  Join the FB Group, Statesboro Stitches to follow along online!

MEDITATION FOR STRESS RELIEF:  6PM  Monday,  July 9 Local Neurologist, Dr. Kashyap Patel MD, returns to help us learn about ways that meditation can help us manage stress in our everyday lives.

Location: Children’s Activity Room

 

DIY: COASTER SET– 5:30 PM Tuesday, July 10 We’re drinking more beverages in the warm weather… Don’t make rings, create a unique set of tile coasters with Lindsey! Materials provided but space is limited. Sign up in advance @ the Circulation Desk!

GENEALOGY VITAL RECORDS— 6PM Thursday, July 12 Can you identify the 3 most important vital records for genealogy? If not, come learn what they are and how to access them for your research. Statesboro Library’s Genealogy and Local History Coordinator, Lillian Wingate will review each vital record, and explain their history and importance.

UNDERUSED GENEALOGY SOURCES—6PM Tuesday, July 17 Learn about some of the most overlooked , underused, yet most abundant sources for genealogical study! Statesboro Library’s Genealogy and Local History Coordinator, Lillian Wingate  will show examples and resources.

ESSENTIAL OILS/Make & Take: Sugar Scrub - 6 pm Wednesday, July 18

Smooth skin will be yours with an all natural sugar scrub, scented with essential oils that you make yourself with the help of naturalist, Nicole Wiker! Bring a small jar. Other materials provided, but space is limited to 12! Sign up at the Circulation Desk.

ADULT BINGO NIGHT! - 4PM Saturday, July 21 Are you feeling lucky? Join us at the Library for a night of fun at our adults only bingo event! Free and open to the public!

THE READING CAFÉ—  6 PM Thursday, July 26 Read what you like and share what you want! Enjoy coffee and refreshments, while learning about your next must read book!

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE—Noon until 5:00 PM Friday, July 27 The need for blood in the community is great. Help out your fellow resident and give blood if you can.

MILITARY RECORDS & FOLD3—6PM Tuesday, July 31 Learn what types of military records are available and the different types of information provided by them. A review of Fold3's website will be reviewed as well.
