Acclaimed recording artist and performer Mandy Barnett will take the stage on Feb. 10 at the Mars Theatre in Springfield. An enchanting night of enduring music will help you celebrate Valentine’s Day with songs that touch the heart.
Barnett will perform songs from The Nashville Songbook, a collection of tunes that define an era – some of the most influential and iconic country and pop standards ever written. Songs she’ll perform include hits from artists like Patsy Cline, Elvis, Tammy Wynette, Roy Orbison and Brenda Lee.
A singer since the age of five, Barnett is a world-class vocalist whose style is deeply rooted in the classic country and pop crooning of the all-time great singers. The Tennessee native first garnered national attention as a teen, earning rave reviews for her portrayal of the legendary Patsy Cline in the theatrical production of “Always….Patsy Cline” at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, appearing in the title role on the original cast album.
The curtain goes up at 8, and tickets are $25. Purchase tickets online at www.marstheatre.com.
