July 18, 2016

1 Image
ROAD RAGE STARTS EARLY — A Yorktown Place woman reported someone slammed her granddaughter’s tricycle into the door while she was inside the home.

ASKING FOR IT — An intoxicated man kept calling 911 and was found standing in the middle of Johnson Street, shining a flashlight at passing cars.

HOW IN THE WORLD — do you steal a pond? A Church Street woman reported the theft of a back deck and a goldfish pond from her rental property.

BAD LUCK CHARLIE — Deputies stopped a man on Highway 301 South who kept crossing the yellow line as he drove. He was charged with having a suspended license and failure to maintain lane. When a family member came to pick up the vehicle (as the driver was being taken to jail), the battery had died due to the lights being left on and the car was towed.

UNWELCOME — An East Main Street man called police about another person he said visits his home too often.

ARMED ROBBERY — A man was robbed at gunpoint in a Lanier Drive parking lot of a Louis Vuitton wallet valued at $600 and containing $100. He said the offender pointed a gun at his head and demanded the wallet. It would be a shame if the robber took the cash and tossed the wallet worth six times as much.
