With a multitude of different organizations at Georgia Southern University, it is easy for anyone to get involved — and junior public relations major Kaitlyn Fraley has taken advantage of all that GSU has to offer.
The Barnesville, Ga., native is a community leader at Freedom’s Landing, a member of Campus Outreach, a National Residence Hall Honorary and a volunteer at 91.9 The Buzz.
Even with all of her extracurricular activities, Fraley still makes sure that her schoolwork is taken care of.
“I haven’t had any problems. I am pretty obsessive and meticulous about making sure my calendar is organized and my work gets done,” she said.
Originally from a town of only 6,000 people, Fraley says she had to adjust to GSU. Once she did, she fell in love with the university.
“My favorite thing about GSU is the opportunity for involvement. There are 300 different organizations on campus, and everyone can be a leader at something,” she said.
Although she enjoys the atmosphere and the opportunities that are present on campus, Fraley says there is room for improvement, such as with the school’s busing system.
With Fraley graduating within the next year, she has set a goal for herself.
“I’m ready to push myself out of my comfort zone,” she said. “I don’t like making decisions, because I think too much. I want to be spontaneous.”
