Connect Crime: Ex marks the spot

January 29, 2013

A man from Lundy Mobile Home Park was admittedly drunk when he called 911 to complain about his ex girlfriend coming to his house. She was drunk, too, he said. She lives in the same neighborhood, but the relationship has long been over, he told operators. There was no indication in reports that she caused a disturbance, but the man was upset because she paid him a visit.

TAXI! TAXI! — When you hail a cab, you must pay the fare. A cab driver had a problem with a University Place Apartments man when trying to explain that concept.  The passenger refused to pay after being taken home, so the driver called police. The man was belligerent and obnoxious, still refusing to pay. His roommate paid the fare, and police arrested the offender for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

AIN’T LOVE GRAND? — Police were busy last week with unhappy couples. An Eastview Apartments woman said a man threw plates and broke them after he answered her phone, heard another man’s voice, then became angry. At Willow Bend Apartments, a man wrestled a woman to the ground after she came to his house and told him she slashed his tires.

LOUNGE TIME — Lounging means relaxing, but it was the opposite for some folks recently. At the Primetime Lounge, a woman called police after someone struck her in the face. And at the Platinum Lounge, a woman said she was struck in the head while trying to break up a fight and later became dizzy and weak.
