It's a new year, and Connect Statesboro needs your help.
We don't have any full-time reporters on staff here at Connect. That means we depend heavily on a dedicated core of freelance writers to provide a major chunk of the magazine's content each week.
These freelancers are the ones pounding the pavement, gathering news and writing it up, usually on a pretty short deadline. They don't do it for the glory, and they have no delusions that they'll get rich off this gig, but they're the lifeblood of our publication. We couldn't do it without our freelancers — and we're looking for a few more to add to our team.
Are you a communications major who's looking to have some of your work published? Do your friends roll their eyes every time you begin talking (again) about how much you love the local music scene? Do you enjoy meeting new people and writing about your experiences? Do you have photography skills that you're dying to show off? If so, Connect may be just the place for you.
If you're a dependable, hard-working writer and/or photographer with a passion for local arts, news and entertainment, and you're interested in doing some work for Connect, send one or two samples of your work to Linsay
We look forward to hearing from you!
