CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A baby Jesus figure taken from a Pennsylvania church's Nativity scene last year was found cradled in the arms of a nearby statue, just hours before the replacement statue was swiped.
The vintage figurine was taken last year from outside Chambersburg's Central Presbyterian Church. It was found Sunday in the arms of a bronze Civil War soldier statue across the town square.
A local business had replaced the Jesus statue when the Nativity scene was set up a couple weeks ago. The Chambersburg Public Opinion reports that replacement statue was swiped sometime after services on Sunday.
Congregant Buffy Super calls the statue's return a "Christmas miracle." Another says the church will have to consider securing the statue to deter theft.

Ariz. home: 'Ditto' to neighbor's Christmas lights

MARICOPA, Ariz. — An Arizona woman who couldn't compete with her neighbor's elaborate Christmas light display has a creative but less flashy response.
Using red and green lights, Kristina Green of Maricopa spelled out the word "ditto" and made an arrow pointing toward her neighbor's home.
KNXV-TV reports that Green's display is made of around 600 lights. Her neighbor's set-up has about 16,000 colorful lights.
Green says she knew she couldn't match her neighbor's decorations so she decided to do something else.
She's also created a Facebook page for her "ditto" sign.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — A mall in Maine has sacked Santa Claus after children and parents complained he was rude, grumpy and wouldn't even let one child sit on his lap.
Officials at the Maine Mall in South Portland say they're looking for a jollier Santa.
Jessica Mailhiot and her 6-year-old daughter, Chantel, went to see Santa this week. They tell WGME-TV he was rude and wouldn't let the girl sit on his lap when they said they didn't want to buy a $20 photo.
Chantel says when she asked Santa for an American Girl doll, he replied she'd get an "American football."
When the mom posted her story online, others shared similar experiences.
The station contacted the Santa, but he didn't want to comment.
