SNEAK ATTACK — A Gordon Street man said he was robbed. A man and woman lured him behind a home, jumped on him, beat him, then stole his phone and money. The man suffered visible injuries.
GROCERY THEFT — A woman shopped, pushed her buggy to the cash register, paid for her groceries and turned away for a split second. In a flash, someone stole her purchases.
UGLY PARTY — Statesboro police were called to The Cove Apartments, where several hundred people were gathered, being loud, unruly and vulgar, disrupting the peace. Some threw bottles, an officer reported. Those not living at the complex were asked to leave.
UNRULY AND ARRESTED — A man was disruptive and cursing at Chili’s last week, so someone called police. He continued cursing and yelling, even when asked to go outside, and tossed receipts at the officer. When the officer handcuffed him, the offender resisted, but he was subdued and taken to jail.
