A Longwood Drive man reported his golf clubs stolen. He must have loved those clubs, because he looked for them in pawn shops — and guess what? He found them! Then, he found out his wife was the one who took those beloved golf clubs, and she was the one who pawned them. Oops.

CAUTION — Statesboro Police are investigating two armed robbery incidents near campus. First, a Cambridge-at-Southern resident said a group of unknown men robbed him at gunpoint. Then on Thursday, a man at The Cove at Southern said he and other victims were confronted by a group with one gunman. After a victim fled in a car, the offenders ran away, too.

DISCOUNT BEVERAGE — A delivery man was trying to get his product to the store when a man and woman drove up. The man hopped out and grabbed a six-pack, and they fled. Maybe they thought it was Free Beer Tuesday.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT — A Zetterower Avenue man who caught another man breaking into his van told police the offender came at him with a knife. He said the offender chased him in to a building, where he grabbed a weapon. The offender then fled, he said.

INVASION  — A Chandler Road man said he awoke to find several men in his bedroom. They fled, and the complainant said he could not find anything missing. He said it was obvious someone had gone through his belongings, however. w
