Straight out of Atlanta's south side, Prime Mover's demos released nearly a decade ago created a huge following for a band that had never played a public gig.
All that changed in 2002, and through several lineup changes, the group's moved out of the studio and onto the stage. Their latest release is “A Monument to Your Sins,” a three-song, 20-minute epic beast of a disc.
Formed in 2008 out of Douglas, two months of practice created a monster. Dead Southern Bishop doesn't want to fit in the world of radio-friendly metal, and they've recently released a self-titled debut EP.
Centered out of Valdosta, This Hideous Strength draws their metal influences from sources as widely apart as Lovecraft and Megaman.
They sprang to prominence in the region with their first EP, 2008's “We Never Sleep,” and got picked up by Robot Monster. They've got a new disc, “The Great Unimaginer,” coming out in mid-August.
