Parking, walking and all forms of transportation

A list of places to park and a schedule for transportation around Savannah

    * Parking will be available at the Savannah International Trace and Convention Center (1 International Drive). This lot will open at 7 a.m. that day and cars will not be admitted after 3 p.m. There will be a fee of $10, which includes a round trip across the river on a water ferry for everyone in the vehicle. This ferry will operate from 7:10 a.m. until midnight.

    * The Chatam Area Transit Authority will provide shuttle services to the downtown Savannah area from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. They will be coming from: Westside Shopping Center on Hwy. 80, Island Towne Centre on Whitemarsh Island, Savannah Mall (near the carousel in the rear). If you take the Eastside Shuttle (from Island Towne Centre) you'll be dropped off and picked up at Oglethorphe and Price Streets. If you're riding the others, you'll be dropped off and picked up at the Visitors' Center at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The fare is $3, which includes a ride to the parade and a return trip. You can get these passes in advance by going to the CAT's main office at 900 East Gwinnett St. or CAT Central at 124 Bull St.
