Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at Georgia Southern University will partner to host Pack the House in Pink with the Georgia Southern Athletic Department and the Statesboro Service League at Hanner Field House on Saturday, Feb. 20 to raise awareness for breast cancer.
The Georgia Southern Eagles take on Wofford with the women beginning at 12 p.m. and the men at 2:30 p.m.
ZTA will transform Hanner Field House with pink decorations and educational materials. All fans are asked to join players, coaches, cheerleaders and Georgia Southern by wearing pink to show their support.
Money received from t-shirt sales before and at the event will benefit the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to help educate and raise awareness about breast cancer.
Phi Mu Sorority and the Georgia Southern University Traditions Council will assist by helping to hand out Think Pink ribbons and shower cards to attending fans.
The 2009 Pack the House in Pink was a community and campus wide event which registered the largest attendance at a Georgia Southern basketball game in the past 16 years. Old and new fans are encouraged to help Zeta Tau Alpha, Statesboro Service League, the Georgia Southern Traditions Council and Phi Mu raise breast cancer awareness by breaking last year’s attendance record.
Tickets are available at the door. Georgia Southern students can use their student ID to enter the game.
