Crazy criminals in the Boro

    OUCH! – Somebody crashed a blue 2000 Nissan Pathfinder in the woods along the Veteran’s Memorial Parkway. The registered owner never returned police calls, and the vehicle was towed. The car suffered significant damage, reports stated.

    JINXED
– A man living at The Pointe at Southern was bothered by a man named “Jinx” wo was being too loud. He told Jinx to be quiet. They argued, and the complainant went back to bed. Jinx woke him, attacked him, and caused the victim to suffer bleeding injuries, scrapes and bruises before fleeing.

    SOUNDS A LIL FISHY - A Sylvania man told police he was smoking a cigarette outside Sav-A-Lot when another man put a gun to his head and demanded a necklace. The alleged victim then said he grabbed the gun, which fired twice, and got in his car, calling police. Reports did not detail what the alleged attacker did. The incident was turned over to the detective division for further review.

    DRAWING ATTENTION - An officer stopped a car on Denmark Street near bay Street, traveling with the passenger side door open. The couple inside had been arguing and the man was trying to exit the car while it was still rolling. Police found he had an open container of alcohol and was underage for drinking. He was also uncooperative with police, and was charged with open container, underage possession of alcohol, and obstruction.

    SAY WHAT?
– A Continental Road woman told deputies an unknown person sends her vulgar text messages from two different numbers. When a deputy called the numbers, one was an automated sex line.

    LESSON LEARNED
– A woman “met” a man on the Internet and agreed to meet him at Mc Donald’s on Archway Drive. When he offered her money for sex, she refused and left. He followed her, so she stopped at the hospital to call police.

    PUBLIC HOOKUP
– A complainant called about a 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man committing acts of public indecency at Home Builders of Statesboro.
