HOUSE CLEANING BLUES — An Outland Street man got drunk instead of cleaning house, and during an argument with his brother-in-law over the issue, punched the other man.
MAN STEALS DRESSES — And they weren't cheap ones either. A Belk employee stopped the man who tried leaving without paying for several dresses.Reports did not state whether the dresses were for a female friend or himself.
GENERATION GAP — Today's music can include some graphic and shocking language, especially to older citizens who are used to a different lifestyle. So, when a West Jones Avenue man argued with his son-in-law over " loud music and respect," the younger man proved a point about the lack of respect and punched the elder, sending him to the hospital and landing himself a spot in jail.
LADIES ROOM RUCKUS — In the Rude Rudy's ladies' room, a woman broke in line, prompting another to point out the faux pas. This led to the line-breaker pulling the complainant's hair, during a bathroom tussle.
SLEEPING IT OFF?— A man causing a scene at a local motel pool was escorted to his room highly intoxicated. Concerned about the man's welfare, the motel owner called deputies, who couldn't awaken the man and called EMS. Afterward, they determined he was just very drunk and took him to jail for public intoxication.
SPURNED AND BURNED — A man threatened to have girls beat a woman because she refused his attentions when he flirted with her on Lanier Drive.
VACATION SPECIALIST? — A man came into Valli's Collision Center and presented himself as a "vacation specialist," asking for donations for a fund raiser. He left with a check for $99. The complainant felt it was suspicious and reported the incident. What is a vacation specialist anyway?
SEEKING A SWIM — A juvenile living on Old Riggs Mill Trail heard the family dog barking and went outside to find a woman in a bikini. The suspicious woman said she was seeking a place to swim. She left on a bicycle.
