Georgia Southern University's students can feel the green in the air. Main Street Statesboro hosts their Friday Friday event, Green Grits, on March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the Courthouse Square.
Green Grits is a St. Patrick's themed event so come out and get your "green on." Students can indulge in many different green foods and drink. Vendors will be giving out green lemonade and green iced cookies. Come sample some green kettle and make sure you taste the green grits with all your favorite toppings sponsored by Freeman's Mill. Don't forget to get some Girl Scout cookies!
Visit 40 East Grill and try their delicious Emerald City Martini special. Stop by Sweet Cheeks for a sweet green cupcake, drop by Madame Couture's Consignment Boutique and get some fashion tips, green punch and green cookies. The Vintage Connection Home Interiors Market will be giving tasty green appetizers for you to try!
Green Grits will have lots of fun games and activities and students are encouraged to participate in them all. Free putt-putt will be set up on the Courthouse lawn sponsored by The Clubhouse and Statesboro Floor Covering.
Students, come by and check out the green, eco-friendly cars. Colonial House of flowers will be holding a vase recycling and selling shamrocks!
